Here's what I made.
Like a subway map, but for bikes. Yikes. Next step is to illustrate each route. Maybe they'll end up as a book or long poster. Not quite sure how to combine this map with illustrations for each route. Ideas? I was thinking to have each bubble reference a (set of?) illustration(s), perhaps in an accordion fold book.

Hey Augie! Everything is lookin good! Can't wait to see the rest of it. Good call with the comics, if you're going with that you should check out Scott McCloud's book, Understanding Comics, or Abel and Madden's book, Writing Words and Drawing Pictures. Both are really great, and might help you out a bit. And also, for this map, (if you're still looking for ideas) maybe in book form with your map on the first page and color coded tabs (old school address book or dictionary style) for each of your illustrations? anyways, gooooood stuff.
